We dont imitate the past, we collaborate with it.

Hyperborea was described by ancient Greek geographers as a distant northern realm — a place beyond the known world, where time moved differently.

Beyond the northern edge of the known world.

We believe it still exists. Not so much as a fixed place, but as a way of making.

Made in Hyperborea creates bespoke furniture and limited author pieces from local northern materials.

Our work is guided by material integrity, precision craftsmanship, and respect for long timeframes.

While our philosophy extends to all rare and honest materials that age with dignity, black oak is at the core of our practice —

bog oak preserved for thousands of years beneath water.

The age of this rare material coincides with the era when Hyperborea first entered written history.

This is not symbolism, but material continuity.

We do not imitate the past. We collaborate with it.

We work deliberately. We design specifically.

Each piece carries its own chronology.

This is furniture shaped by the north — and by time itself.
